Real Wedding: Sue and David Invitation

As promised, here is the invitation from Sue and David's wedding! They had liked a custom monogram that we had letterpressed for previous client and opted for the same thing. The invitation was pressed in a crimson ink on our soft white paper, evoking old Hollywood.

Oh Baby!

I had the pleasure of designing a baby announcement for one of our staff members several months back, I wanted to do something feminine for her baby girl but at the same time, I wanted to get away from the usual soft pink. The result is a simple custom floral and butterfly drawing (we have also adopted this as part of our new logo!) letterpressed in a deep strawberry ink. In trying to be a little different, I chose a khaki ink. I really love this color combination! Candace (our staff member) then made wallet reprints of her beautiful girl and mounted them onto the card (because you can't letterpress pictures). The announcement was mailed in a matching khaki envelope (how's that for being different!)

Baby items will be available for purchase directly on the site something in April.

Hot Off the Press

We just finished this letterpress job over the weekend and I am in love with the turquoise color of the monogram! The design is simple and classic but the turquoise just gives it a nice punch of color.

Invitation Spotlight - Tara K.

We have just finished letterpressed invitations for one of our wonderful clients. It turned out so beautifully that I just had to showcase it. The invitation is a variation of the "Sarah and Brady" in our handmade section. It was going to be flat printed originally but Tara decided to go for the letterpress and I'm so glad she did as greens are just so crisp with letterpress. The set was letterpressed in apple and java inks. The invitation is mounted onto apple cardstock with a chocolate ribbon band. The enclosure cards can be tucked in the back of the invitaiton underneath the ribbon.

Camellia Redesigned

I have been working on redesigning some of our letterpress invitations. The "Camellia" is the first to get the makeover. I don't have a before picture anymore but it used to just be the camellia at the top with the text. Now I've added a pretty border. What a difference that can make!

Fall In Love with Letterpress

It seems like almost the whole world has once again fallen in love with this age old method of printing. I am no exception. I love letterpress!! I love the crisp impressions pressed into thick yet soft paper. It's so breathtaking!

The picture to the left is a letterpressed version of our popular handmade invitation "Ookie and Carlos". This handmade invitation, along with many others, will soon be available in the weddings/invitations/letterpress printing section of the website. It is part of our customizable collection.

If you love letterpress, don't hesitate to ask us for a quote. We have some of the most reasonable prices for letterpress! The reason is because we do all our letterpressing in house. So not only are our prices great, but so is our turnaround time for them (4 weeks maximum).

If your budget does not allow for our customizable invitations, I would suggest that you take a look at our flat panel letterpress invitations . We offer 15 ink colors that you can choose from for these styles and of course you can enter your own wording any way that you want! This is a great option for those of you that love letterpress but do not need too much customization. We try to design with many different motifs to choose from and the patterned ones are exquisite. Check back soon as we will start adding our 2 color options for this section soon!
